Look Beyond The Surface

Have you ever met someone so attractive that you instantly get in a relationship? The lust and passion overpower the important things like sharing common interests and being able to hold a conversation. If you have done this then you know that the relationship probably only consisted of one thing. It’s not a bad thing but realistically speaking that can’t be done all day and night on a consistent basis. Although physical attraction plays a big part in a relationship, being able to stand each other plays an even bigger part. You have heard the famous “it’s what’s on the inside that counts” line before and this is true. But you don’t approach someone who is not attractive in your eyes and make assumption that they have a good heart. There is usually some type of physical attraction that lures you in their direction. It is very important to find a balance. As people get older their looks and physical appearance begin to change. If looks was the only thing that kept you in the relationship what happens when that changes? Being with someone who can finish your sentences or can sing the next line to a song you’re singing holds so much more value. No matter how much their appearance changes the personality will remain the same. So the next time you are exploring look past the surface. There is a lot more behind that coat of paint.

I have been through a lot in life and have learned from it all. I was always a listening ear and someone people came to for advice. I enjoy sharing what I have learned because it may be beneficial to someone going through the same thing. I have a degree in psychology and am very outgoing. I can be serious but I have a great sense of humor.
